Updates Regarding Tropical Systems

NEW UPDATE [5:00 pm Monday, 9/21/20]:

This is an update from The City of Freeport as of 5:00 pm, Monday, Sept. 21st. 

  • The City Council Meeting has been cancelled for Monday night.
  • There will be no trash pickup on Tuesday. We ask residents to please remove all trash cans and debris from curbsides.
  • The $40 delinquency fee for water bills will not be applied until the day after City Hall is re-opened. However; water customers may pay online for free at:

Please remain cautious as this will be three-day weather event, from Monday through Wednesday.

The National Weather Service predicts winds up to 30 mph, and rainfall up to 10 inches in low lying areas. We have begun to see high water and debris on roadways, including Hwy 332 in the Bridge Harbor area toward Surfside. TX DOT may close roadways as needed for your safety.
